A few years ago when I thought I had decent songs recorded and played them for friends, the one thing that everyone, musician and non-musician alike, always pointed out was that my (drum machine) drums sounded fake and mechanical. It's true what their sales hype says about a great drum kit mix being the foundation of a great recording. In high school my best friend was playing drums note-for-note with Mahavishnu (Billy Cobham) records, so I have a feeling that I know pretty good drums when I hear them! This is them! Just upgraded my Superior Drummer 2 to version 3 and am enjoying the new MIDI. It's fun when a product that I can actually afford also just happens to be the best product of its kind on the market! I will not come back 6 months from now feeling like there is something better out there that I wish I could afford!
